John is a consummate artist. He is creative, innovative, and the heart of the Working Lives Project. John's original songs about the people who built British Columbia through hard work and enterprise inspired the content of this website, and its design is a tribute to his ability to convey information easily, simply, and with great beauty.

From the early days when he came into classrooms to show students photographs of miners, loggers and fishers and sing their praises, to the completion of the Working Lives website as a learning resource, John has contributed to the way young people will understand and view the resource development of our province from a human perspective.
